'50' Blackthorn in flower
This is one of the trees that will be at BOBB next weekend, this is the very first time it will have been shown ... it is showing well right now and I am working hard to keep the as many flowers as possible on the tree, it has been so unusually warm for this time of year and it has been a struggle to hold the tree back (I do not have a 'spare' fridge like Les). wish me luck... I think I will need it
I am still looking for members to join Enrico and me at our workshop on Sunday at BOBB... only £20... its a bargain!

Excellent tree Tony.... If it isn't the same tree that was on this forum last year asking for styling suggestions?? If it indeed is then a very nice growth in one year....

Tony, a captivating beauty. Elegant trunk movements leading to a climatic burst of white flowers. I read that spraying the tree with a stress guard solution could slow down its' growth. Personally have not tried it though. Good luck.
Cheers and best regards,

I wish you good luck and the best, Tony!
I do love the pot as much as the tree itself!

The same goes for Greece, at least concerning the exact (prunus spinosa)!tony wrote:Never a truer word spoken on this forum... ... ...will baddeley wrote:Aren't we lucky having such a superb range of natives Tony.

blackthorn
Hi Tony my Blackthorn is still in the fridge, turned to the lowest setting yet it is still flowering, hopwfully it will still have flowers on on Saturday. I am told to transport it in a box to keep it from sunlight and to surround the pot with ice poacks to keep it cold. Fingers crossed it will be worth it
