Tropical - Bones --- Need help choosing a pot ????
Hello Folks,
this is 17.5" [ 44.5 cm ] tall and 16" [ 40.6 cm ] wide. Trunk is barely 2" [ 5 cm ] Tall and elegant?
I have indicated with the green digital paint what I hope to add on and the shrub will in about 4 or 5 months fill itself back in.
Need a pot and am open to advice - virtuals anyone ?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Khaimraj.
the design looks feminine to me. so, I would prefer an oval shape pot.
If if were mine I won't over stretched the canopy further, the trunk is slim and the overall outcome might look too heavy for the tree.

jun

Mick,
it is a Fukien Tea, I think the large leaf, flowers are white and tiny, the fruit is like a carnelian / cornelian. Height in the ground is about 14' [ 426 cm ]
John,
thanks for looking, two for oval and one light green glaze.

Khaimraj, that's a pretty Fukien tea. Did you grow it?
I like an oval too, but more of the quince blossom shape. Check out the 6th pot (not the 6th picture) on page 26 of Peter Krebs' pot thread. Not the color, it's too dark, but the style. A plain oval is too expected. Try something different like a lotus (round, but with details) like my cedar elm's pot.
Just my 2 cents.

Russell,
this page ? - http://www.peter-krebs.de/index.php?page=earth-and-fire
The oval with the maple ? foto 7 ?
Just in case you are wondering, I am planning to make the next pot from local clay, and if needed a local glaze.
I guess you have a weakness for the when viewed from above the softened cross shape ?
For me it is the classical rectangle with the thin strip running around, pear skin finish [ Yi Xing teapot nut ] and that colour of pot you see this Fukien Tea in.
Grown from this - a Chinese export. As you can see it has done everything in the same pot.
Also the digital image hath but one eye, so you can't see the movement on the trunk, but it is very 3d.

No, this thread: https://ibonsaiclub.forumotion.com/t1267p375-surprise-from-my-kiln
It's the last pot in the third post on page 26. The next post is from Stone Monkey. Sorry to make things so tedious.

Thanks Russell,
elegant. I was most taken with the last images, and wonder if I could create a tree to harmonise with that pot.
