The design of this apple tree I started in November 2005.

Very steady and nice progress Jupp.
the base is very nice too
I bet it's gonna be lovelier when it blooms and fruits.

Re: Malus evereste wild appel
Already a beautiful tree, Jupp. I'd love a Malus in my collection, unfortunately the only ones I ever find are all far too big to be usable.
Have you thought about carving the split even deeper? That would give the impression that the left branch was almost breaking away from the rest of the tree, which I think would look quite spectacular!

I really like your apple tree. I am just a little bothered by the perfect circle hollow in the trunk. Maybe its just me... if it were mine, I would make that circle slightly irregular.

Malus "evereste"
Didn't you mean Malus sylvestris? That is the wild apple of Europe.

Um grande trabalho de mestre, isso nos ajudar e inspira para continuar-mos, com nossos bonsais.
Parabéns
I believe this reads along the lines of:
" A great masterpiece, which helps and inspires us to continue with our bonsai"

Jupp, your apple is lively. I like the way you carved the trunk. The base of this tree gives your tree a nice feminine quality to it. I am working on some collected apple burls, but they aren't as nice as yours.

Thanks @ all for comment
On de back, above the hole, creating a branch. When has strengthened the trunk is opened up, thus creating the impression of a split trunk. You know it: all in good time.

Great tree!
I can relate to the 'action'-photography in the 2005 pic. The kids, the house, work, - at the moment I do bonsai while running...

Nice work Jupp,
Maybe a bit larger and shallower pot will give emphasis on the trunk.

Hi Jupp,
What was your reason for separating the upper part of the carving? Was there rot up there? The image of two trunks is nice but it may not be long before they separate into two trees. Or was that your original plan?
Best,
Todd

Thank you for the comment.
There have been very large cuts on the branches. This has over time become something more plausible.
