Bonsai in Israel
My wife and I will be visiting Israel and Jordan soon. This is standard, packaged Christian Holy Land tour with hopefully a side trip to Perta in Jordan. We should have, at least, a half day free in Jerusalem, any bonsai suggestions?

There is a bonsai collection at the Jerusalem Botanical Garden. Last I heard, it was not in good shape; don't know if they have improved it.
As you probably know, it is virtually impossible to bring back plants from abroad these days.

Re: Bonsai in Israel
Thanks Iris
I don't need any plants and have no intention of bringing any back.
A Story. On our recent trip to China we were given a commerative bonsai pot in Yixing. While I shipped a lot of stuff back (about 50 kilos) such as books, the people at China Post would not take the Bonsai pot for fear it would break and they would disappoint a visitor, so I brought it back in my checked luggage. I declared this on the proper form when we arrived in LA. The only question asked was, "Is there a plant in that bonsai pot?"
