Two Hawthorns from local woods

Was in the woods this weekend and saw two promising Hawthorns?? Is now too early to dig up??


This one is about 20cm wide and 15cm high







This one is about 15-18cm wide and do i cut back this year and collect next or both at the same time??

only last one looks good to me. dig out when buds just been open a bit. beginning of march perhaps.
you just have to visit the trees now and then.
Dont cut back to hard, they could die back a bit.

I agree. Last one looks very promising. Buds are now changing colour on my Hawthorns, so not long now. I have collected this time of year with good results.
