Re: Help!!!!!!
Will
Just dropped you a pm mate.

Thanks for the kind words. I could not remember where that pot went, I love that glaze which I can't reproduce exactly anymore
Peter
1 & 4 are my personal favorites. I think Will's tree needs an old rustic crackle glaze to enhance the old tree. However I still like the other less rustic and more consistent glazed pots. Thanks for your kind comments
Regards to all

Lost and found.
I was talking to my wife Bev at lunchtime today and was going through my dilema with this tree. I told her that Stone Monkey and Gordon Duffett were on the case, but neither were confident about the time frame. Bev then said, "what about the nice pot in my studio that I keep my watercolour brushes in?"As I'm not allowed into her domain without prior permission (I make the place look untidy.. apparently) I asked her kindly to get the pot.
Down she comes about 5 minutes later with my ( thought sold with another tree) Gordon Duffett semi cascade.
I may have to sneak up there when she's not about and see what else Bev has of mine.
What do you think of this one?

Re: Help!!!!!!
That's close to divorce grounds!
That pot is a huge improvement on the existing and not far off a perfect match IMO.

Close to divorce grounds if Bev catches me anywhere near her studio!!!! I'm still going for the Monkey pot(even though they're machine made. ) but at least I have a backup plan.

Re: Help!!!!!!
If I went out to buy a pot Will, I'd be delighted to have come home with that one.

I had no idea Bev had the pot, let alone store brushes in it. She's a bloody magpie......Don't tell her I said that

Re: Help!!!!!!
Hello Will
That pot is "spot on"...a very good choice if you favour a rectangular one!
... by the way..I've heard that Masakuni has got some very nice brushcutters....
Kind regards
Martin

Re: Help!!!!!!
Will,
I think this is a good match as well, FWIW. The glaze is perfect and the stain below has a bit or dark red orange in it, like was in Andy's virt pot, only slightly less. I think this warmth will be a great balance to the bright green leaves.
Decisions, decisions eh!

turning the causality reverse ahead a bit on this one... you are holding a near re-marriage-situation here...the pot is perhaps spot on, however the spontanious gesture to let go of her favorite brush can gives your wife much credit. return the gesture with flowers and you might be looking at a romantic evening and a precious narrative to go with the display ;-)

From all the pots i've seen in this thread, i find the duffett pot suits your tree the most IMHO
