Tacky, Tacky Tacky
I'm not sure which one of you mods thought that awful "greeting" under the Anouncements banner was a good idea (although I have my suspicions), I hope you will reconsider this plunder. Surely, you're smart, mature and polite enough to contact any offenders privately to handle a situation as this appropriately.

I don't see that which you refer to, Russell. Can you be more specific?
Oh, now I see it!

Hi Russell, I 'fess up, it was me. A late night attempt that went wrong! I'm woking on it.

Ahhhh, and if I may indulge in this possibly pathetic attempt to lighten things up a bit, may I say how well indeed you have "woked".Kev Bailey wrote:A late night attempt that went wrong! I'm woking on it.

In Kev's defense, the language was mine. I HAD thought it would go into a "sticky" and not under the forum header, however. <g>
I still think we need to be more explicit in the sticky, though. We occasionally get enthusiastic member volunteers who chide people publicly for obviously commercial (repeat) messages before we can get to them with gentle, off-line reminders, and I'd rather nip that in the bud so we don't have additional potentially valuable members going off in a huff.

I agree.
For anyone interested, check out Bjorn's website. http://bjorvalabonsaistudio.com/ He'd certainly be an asset here, hopefully he'll give us another chance.

I hope that Bjorn comes back too. I am really sorry if I offended him, as that was not my intention. I thought it was just another of those adds that we get occasionally. Sorry Bjorn.

Bjorn might appreciate some emails stating the same. He is moving about a fair amount so likely has little time anyway.
