Re: ONE OF MY PEMPHIS IN PROGRESS
Nice Rudy. Only to my mind the rock is too much.

Amazing progression Rudi.
What makes this very unique is that one of the trees(branch) is on the rock while the other is not and this combination is terrific and the balance is perfect. Great stuff...

Re: ONE OF MY PEMPHIS IN PROGRESS
very nice progress rudy. Perhaps a long shallow pot would negate the heavy looks of the rock. 3 phempis in a row, i guess the trees from the cold regions are asleep alright. trees from the tropics will entertain you for while.

I like the weight of the rock as it helps balance the long branch. My only problem is the rock colour is the same as the bark and the tree gets a little lost.

Hello Rudi!
I agree with Will about the colour!
I also would prefer a stoneform that follows a little bit the beautiful movement of the tree...
really nice tree and work!!

Re: ONE OF MY PEMPHIS IN PROGRESS
good morning rudi:
as usual, beautiful material and quality artistry. you have so many pemphis yet to be shown. if the tree were mine, I'd shorten the lower trunk back to the first foliage growth and rebuild a pad there. about the color of the rock, ever consider coloring the rock for contrast?
best wishes to irene.

I like very much the specie but i think that in Portugal it would die.
I wouldn't cut anything , but have to agree about the stone coloring the stone, or/and maybe create more roots tha embrace the rock!?
