Glaze books?
Can anyone recommend a good book on stoneware glazing with an electric kiln? Any thoughts will be greatfully received.

Re: Glaze books?
Hello Will,
Of glaze books, I have many. There are several ceramists and potters out there, as I am sure you know, that have written a thing or two about glazes.
May I ask, what temp/cone are you firing to?

Re: Glaze books?
Thankyou all very much for your help with this. Christmas is coming and it looks like books are on my list.. Oh and Andy, I don't think I'm going to have time to make pots on a commercial scale, so don't worry.

Re: Glaze books?
Hello Will
I second Andy's recommendation and I also like "The potter's book" from Bernard Leach.
Martin is reading "Glazes from natural sources" at the moment....very nice if you like to go "into deep" and more "natural".
Kind regards
Klaudia

Re: Glaze books?
Hi Will,
Both Michael Bailey and Emmanuel Cooper have written several books supplying many glaze recipes which you may find useful. Check them out in Google and I'm sure several titles will be listed. I have found their recipes to be excellent and reliable. Good luck,
Dan

Hello Dan and thanks for the advice. I am studying the three books I got for Christmas as I write. Very enlightening but also very complex.

Re: Glaze books?
I forgot to mention that Bath Potters' Supplies stock a huge number of books on pottery and glazes etc. Check them out on the Internet. Cheers, Dan
