Japanese Bushido or Bushida???
This is my first time to have a bonsai tree. I would like to seek the help of the bonsai experts to identify the type of bonsai I received. I took two shots - Bonsai tree and then the close up look of its leaves.
Many Thanks!
Elisha

No doubt it is Bahamian Black Olive or Bucida spinosa, I have a number of them. It is NOT a true Olive, that is the problem with common names, but it is native to the islands. There are a number of cultivars with leaves of various sizes. Trunks are Sloow growing in a pot, they are NOT cold hardy.
