Re: Pyracantha Coccinea
Wonderful it gives me inspiration for he one I have . Have you ever concidered removing the lowest branch on the right side to expose more of the trunk?? It might make the tree look off balance anyone with photo shop skills insert here. Either way it is a great specimen.

Re: Pyracantha Coccinea
Excellent!
Congratulations on your work and on recording it!
Could you kindly quote one or two things that you consider to be of importance for growing pyracantha for bonsai.
I have had one failure with a good quality nursery stock.... I love these trees!
I read here https://ibonsaiclub.forumotion.com/bonsai-questions-f7/collected-pyracantha-care-don-t-want-to-over-water-them-t3785.htm that they do not like their roots to be disturbed and they do like water.
Thank you!

Re: Pyracantha Coccinea
Sankofabonsai,
Nice tree. I believe I saw this tree in Taisho-En, a working nursery in Shizuoka, property of Nobuichi Urushibata. Mr. Urushibata, as well as his son Taiga are well known for shohin bonsai. I think the first pictures are from his workshop area.
Again, great progression. Thanks for posting.
Kind regards,
Jose Luis
