bonsai styles in nature

A common thought is that many bonsai shapes do not imitate nature. While driving home today, I found this maple growing along a rock outcrop. Now, I seriously doubt that the owner of the real estate ever intended on this to ever look like bonsai, or read a book on it. from the sidewalk to the top, it's about eight feet.
