boxwood bonsai
If you prune a boxwood down past the foliage will it bud back on old wood??? I have one that the limbs are just too long but a real nice trunk..thanks john w.va.

Boxwood are used as hedges and as such are severely chopped with some regularity, so the answer is yes -- probably.
However, I'd let caution reign and do it gradually, ALWAYS leaving a bit of green on a branch. It may take longer to get the branches where you need them to be, but . . . .

Thank you Jimfor your reply, i will prune as you say.this boxwood came from a yard that the landscape was being changed good trunk.thanks john.... I hate snow too!!!
