Actually, when I'm around bonsai everything in my tasterange does fine, as long as I don't know the lyrics Very Happy
I've noticed that folkbands like Dropkick Murphys and Korpiklaani go very well for the naturemood.

Actually, got a big list of awesome bands and artists, both classical and metal/rock.
Classical favorites are the bolero, Beethoven's ninth symphony and Vivaldi (Vivaldi always cheers me up in a strange, natural way Smile )
Been lucky to see Rammstein, Airbourne, Amon Amarth, Hatebreed, Motörhead, Volbeat and Finntroll live.
Everytime I recall Lemmy singing(?) lol! and Rammstein setting stuff ablaze I transform into a happy man again.

Here comes the list: Very Happy
Rammstein
Black Sabbath
Motörhead
King Diamond (abigail is wonderful)
Alice Cooper
Airbourne
AC/DC (hope to attend their final tour)
Amon Amarth
Dethklok
Pink Floyd
Deep Purple (Sweet Child In Time is an absolute masterpiece)
Aerosmith
Accept
Dropkick Murphys  Bagpiper  Bagpiper  Bagpiper
Korpiklaani
Finntroll
Tenacious D (the movie is crazy)
Steel Panther
Guns 'n' Roses
Judas Priest
Led Zeppelin
Manowar
Metallica
Volbeat
Queen (I Want Them All is appropriate in SO MUCH situations!)
Strawelte
Lordi
Nirvana
Def Leppard
KISS
Jimi Hendrix

Those are all I can remember now haha
Have fun and stay bonsai!

Two rules for listening to the Smiths....well..maybe three...1..spring and summer, that's it, NO WINTER!....2...only live, you miss too much of Andy Rourke's bass...3...clear a spot at the foot of your bed for your date's blouse and skirt....don't worry about the heels or stockings, we'll be needing those....link in the morning, last day before vacation. 1) because you would be more likely to succumb to the depression in the winter ?
maybe decide to listen to one more track... while sitting in your car... in the closed garage... with the car running... ? pale

2) i aint got nuttin' bad to say about good bass playing... my fave stringed instrument. Cool

3) now you've got me thinking i should maybe give morrissey & gang a second listen... Razz

(just givin' ya grief mac... i have a very good friend who is also a huge fan and he gets the same treatment from me)

enjoy your vaca !

and just to contribute and stay in keeping with the smiths (albeit just a reference):

I like a variety of music, even certain rap, but when working on trees I am most carried away by smooth, flowing music. Songs by Kansas, Styx, anything George Winston(especially his cd December)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5qGUhWPi6w
Heard prelude and fugue in A- by Bach yesterday that transported me far, far away-(originally for organ Mad , but this is piano)

Call it cheesy, corny, whatever: not only it has a gypsy swing feel but the lyrics are real poetry.

I hadn't played it for quite some time, but my ex-in-law is getting married again and he'll give a - *** - party tomorrow. I'll bring my hammock (20° at night these days and the cops here are getting more and more like US cops) and my guitar, and photocopies of a few songs that we can sing along together.

Actually, I don't think a translation into English can fully develop the meaning of each verse, and the references.
