Little Nea
I entered a shohin tree in the Knowledge of Bonsai progressive competition.
The deadline is the end of this month so I submitted the final photographs. Here is the current status of the Nea buxifolia. It's in a Dick Reyerson pot. The full progression can be seen at (once Paul posts the final photos):

As it fills in and extends it will be ready for final show. Maybe in time for next years US National Exhibition.
Since the period of the competition was less than a year, it's not reasonable to get a finished tree, even with a tropical. So I made a virtual to show where I'd like the tree to go in the next year. Luckily this small tree grows fast so it should be achievable.

Re: Little Nea
This is a really beautiful tree, Rob. Good job! Now regarding your virt, I would leave the canopy a bit lower and as broad as you show it.
Thanks a lot for sharing!

Re: Little Nea
Very nice Rob, but I agree with Pitu...if it were mine, it would have a more rounded top...
