Making pots with a 3d printer

Hi. Recently I came across the article about making pots with a 3d printer https://magigoo.com/blog/3d-printed-flower-pots-making-your-own/. I think that is a very unusual idea of making pots. Did anybody try it? I also found this guy on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8P_RM9veSE, and the video is just great. I am just fascinated with the design of these pots. Now I also want to try, and if you have any sources that could help, please share. Now I will look at his channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe1Aj6VEO299Yq4WkXdoD3Q and some sources for 3d in general.  
The main question is about the material for pots and whether it is ok for plants and the summer period.
