Stump stand_Cornus mas
I have used to visit nearby woodland for a number of years to collect some dogwood berries. Two years ago some of the tree were slaughtered! ( why?! ) leaving the stumps behind. It has taken me nearly two hours to collect the largest one. No clear idea what I should do with it. I just felt pity to leave it there. At the end of last year I have decided to make a stand of it. Keeping it as much natural as possible. Using a soft version of traditional japanese technique for wood preserving - shou sugi ban. Here it goes...
Dimensions of the top:
24 x 19 cm ( height 9 cm )
9,4'' x 7,4" ( height 3,5" )

Nature entchants, John.
Just need to get a tree to match. My pines would need another 10 -15 years to get there
