no direct sunlight
Good afternoon,
I have a winter garden that does not hit the sun, but I wanted to start growing bonsai, so can I use a 2000w led grow panel to replace the direct sun?
The area where the bonsai will be is 1.5m x 1.5m and the led panel would be up to 1.8m
thank you.

Re: no direct sunlight
For many plants supplemental LED lights can do the trick, and it sounds like you have plenty of wattage, but it does depend on the species. For some, like pine, I've never heard of them being successfully grown indoors, but that may be due to temperature and humidity requirements rather than specifically the light source. If you have the lights, give it a shot and try out some material that you wouldn't mind losing too bad to make sure works for you before moving on to better material once you become more sure of the horticulture involved in your environment .

Not all trees need direct sun. You are in Brazil? What are your average summer and winter temperatures?
If it is warm enough then you can achieve lots with just a mirror, some white paint etc to direct the sunshine onto your benches? Much cheaper than LED's?
