To grow or not to grow
I collected Texas Persimmon in Feb. 2 weeks after collecting new growth appeared. It seemed that it survived. Lots of new growth. Now 4 months later there is no new growth. It is alive but not growing. It gets water regularly. It is getting fertilizer regularly. Has plenty of sun. But still no new growth. I moved it so it is in the shade about 1 pm. I can not figure out what is happening. Does anyone have suggestions?

Re: To grow or not to grow
Hello Ron!
I would not worry about your persimmon until next spring. Most temperate zone trees have a built-in seasonal momentum with regard to growth. it is not based upon access to water nor nutrients, so forcing it is problematic; my best advice is to keep it well and happy until next spring and then I hope you are rewarded with abundant new growth.
