WALTER PALL BONSAI ACADEMY OKTOBERFEST AT THE HIDDEN GARDENS

I attended all 3 days of this event in Willowbrook Illinois this past weekend...

if you see this event coming to your area, I highly recommend it for anyone from 1st year novice to long time vet.
(plus you never know who will pop in... Chris Baker, the curator of the Chicago collection stopped by and I was fortunate enough to meet him and discuss design)

I did see the shirts Kevin. I think the wife wants to get me one for Christmas.
Need to go back and look at sizes. There has to be some Xs in front of the L.

yes there are the Xs... more than a couplafew Xs though have a small upcharge

Still 2 hours north of that.
But I plan using every vacation day next year for bonsai related activities.
Hoping to spend a few of those at Vances and the rest for shows and what not.

that would be all that i need for overnites as i am a fully self contained rolling unit...

I'm sure we could come up with something.
Vance and I just had a couple very nice procumbens junipers given to us from a friend at the nationals.
They are 30 years old. Part of a shipment slated for workshops there. Vance got to pick the first 2 before anyone else. We're going to tear into them next spring/early summer.
Just talked to Vance yesterday. He is out of the action for a while. He jacked his right arm and shoulder up a few days ago.

damn... hope he heals well...
