I thought of doing a similar forest composition with Japanese Maples but with different cultivars. So that in fall, I get a piece of the Canadian Autumn Pallete on my balcony in the concrete jungle.
Is it actually okay to mix different dwarf cultivars say in 40cm wide x 30cm deep dish or pot?

best effort yet bolero !
in my opinion, the pot is maybe a bit "bright" (and deep), but your composition with the trees and rocks is nice...
especially how the hillock rises toward the rear... well done in all those regards !

Kevin, thank you for your comments...Only thing better than a Too Bright a Ceramic Tray is a couple of Detroit Coney Dogs and a Milwaukee Beer...
