alain... from that video to my ears, he is preaching to the choir (pun intended)...

throughout christmas eve & day, storms ravaged the southern part of the u.s. killing over a dozen people (so far), injuring many many others and leaving hundreds homeless... someone seems to be working in mysterious ways, indeed.

when are folks gonna learn that the bible is simply a collection of u.f.o. stories related in the knowledge and language of the times.

but that is all discussion for another time and forum...

the holidays are still a nice time of the year for gathering with family and friends, and reflecting upon the love we feel for them.
(if you can keep the commercial chaos at bay by ignoring it and not participating in it)

Well I guess I've missed the boat when it comes to wishing everyone a merry Christmas so I'll settle for seasons greetings instead I hope you and yours all had a good one and equally for those who don't celebrate Christmas may I take the opportunity to wish you an only slightly premature happy new year!

Anyway, my 2016 is guaranteed to include at least some further "bonsai contemplation" because the wife very kindly purchased me a subscription to Esprit Bonsai Magazine as a present. I'm looking forward to that.

Now this is the point at which I'd like to post a seasonally suitable photo of my bonsai but................ it's +10'c outside and like Kevin I have Quince blossom opening instead of deep frost and snow so any photo taken now would look rather more like Spring. Oh well, it saves on the heating bills I suppose!

And lastly to Alain/Kevin. I'll leave it to others to decide for themselves whether there's a god or not and to the moderators whether or not this a suitable subject for this forum but as a secularist myself  I'll leave you with a quote from that most quotable of 18th Century political philosophers and radicals Thomas Paine,
