Cotoneaster microphyllus cuttings
I had a Cotoneaster microphyllus that was beginning to become interesting, but it died. Not my favourite species of cotoneaster anyway so I wasn't that upset really.
I had some cuttings though, for a friend who was interested in getting a sample of this species, but he died. That's why I'm trying to take care of them now.
One to be trained as a hokidachi (Broom):
One to be trained as a small tree in a "Chinese style":
A couple more in the tray, that I may plant in the ground before the winter:
He's alive...

Keep on caring for the little trees which will always remind you of your dear friend.
But they are so hopelessly slow to grow!
