Hi Will, will baddeley wrote:Wonderful shohin Hans, have you had it long?
No, I don't have it that long. I bought it early march from a good friend who decided to sell all of his trees for private reasons. He bought it as Japanese import in 2003. The same year this tree was exhibited in the Ginkgo Award, and in 2004 it was exhibited at the Noelanders Trophy. Early march 2007 it was repotted, and he did some work improving the nebari. So, most of the work is done by him, and he did a pretty good job. I am very happy with this one...

Re: Shohin trident maple
Hans your trident maple is beautiful - good luck when you exhibit it.
I especially like the fact you got it from your friend and i bet he is pleased you have maintained and help create a cracking tree.

Well, I still had to pay for it. But bonsai isn't about the owner of the tree for sure, and the friendship I have received from him was completely free. I consider myself lucky with these kind of friends. Wish there were more...
