Hornbeam saved from the forest after a storm
This is my first post. i hope i get everything right. sorry, if not.
I found this hornbeam in a nearby forest on february 21, 2015 and took it with me the next day after john trinder encouraged me to do so. it was originally about six metres tall and had been halfway unrooted by some storm. It is showing really great igns of life on the remaining branches as well as new shoots everywhere, where i already had to reduce the incredible amount of latent buds opening in nests everywhere around the trunk. I hope it will stay alive! Next year then i shall carve and create some naturalistic dead wood.
IS THE PHOTO VISIBLE? I CANNOT SEE IT...
