Recent Juniper collection input... what do yall think?
Hello all, here's my situation: We dug a large juniper in the fall, put it a large pot with all native soil. It drains well, and I don't think with protection from over water it wouldn't get compacted over a season. It was suggested at a club meet that in the spring it should be transferred to a better draining mix. It had a some what stressful winter. So my question to all is; in your experience would this potentially put to much undue stress on the plant, or should I wait a season or even a few for recovery? Thanks -Jacob

Leave it be. You won't know for a month or two if it even survived the winter. If it is green and happy in May, you can start considering a careful fall repot.
