That may be the nicest variegated tree I've seen -- anywhere. I usually relegate these to the same wastebasket as with "Ginseng" Ficus. Good job.

Thank you, Jim....those words mean a lot coming from you. I did not realize your current medical situation and in that regard you will be in my continued thoughts and prayers. Also, I did not realize initially that you began that pear from a cutting - wonderful work.

Your tree has certainly answered a question many of us "pondered" a few decades ago; can the braided ficus trees make credible bonsai... the answer is a big YES! Nice trunk indeed! I would love to see more of the trunk line.

i too am not a big fan of variegated, but i am definitely digging where you are going with this now...
the other photo above looked more mop-toppish and really highlighted the vegetation...
i like the vegetation being higher up which seems to de-emphasize it while exposing more of the trunk(s) !
