NEW TILIA FROM ITALY

Hello everyone, I wanted your opinion on a lime .
I bought it last spring and I repotted into pumice . At the base there is' a lot of dead wood is flaking off , I do not know if you can recover with some particular substance .
I am attaching some photos

I'm afraid I (we?) have overdosed on Tilia pictures, but I think:
1. That second tallest trunk has to go, and
2. It needs to be planted deeper in the pot, and
3. You need to let it grow a bit before we see another picture (or two). Maybe sometime early next summer.
