Juniper advice please
Just wondering if I should chop off the lowest branch on the right picture 1. It does have a nasty right angle bend in it behind the foliage ( Branch from trunk to right angle being the same length as right angle to foliage pad) pointing straight at one So should it be 1 or 2 and if I cut it off should I jin the stump?

I favor #2. It has smooth curves and consistent motion to the left.

I favor #2. But he can yet work on the thickening of the trunk.

i vote for 2 too. in my opinion you can do a jin with the stump (half lengh of the original branche)

Re:Juniper advice
I would cut the two branches at the right side and make a nice literati bonsai out of it.

Thank you folks I think you all, especially Pedro, have OK'd what I had in mind. I am by profession an artist and my wife says of artists that they all need constant reassurance, it seems that also applies to my bonsai decisions at times,at least it has made my mind up now, thank you

Re: Juniper advice please
I like both the thread favorite and the idea of a literati. The only thing that bothers my eye is the long straight line created by the foliage at the top. I can't suggest a solution (oh, one of those guys), but if you could somehow incorporate a curve like you have with the branches and trunk it seems it would add to the whole. I really enjoy the feminine curves

Thanks Jim that's what I thought. My wife says artists are always in need of constant reassurance.
