Re: Boulevard project
I really like where this is going, it's a very good way take advantage of the way this species grows...giving me some ideas for a couple that I have.
Can you tell us the overall height?

Re: Boulevard project
Hi there, it's about four feet. The best I've ever seen is one by Simon Temblett. Surely a web search would find it.

I like it . . . BUT I wonder how long that deadwood will stay whole. I know how long that would (not) be in nature.

Re: Boulevard project
I like it a lot.
But why not invest in a 2x3 metres piece of black fabric as a backdrop so we can see it more clearly? I've just cut off two or three dozen bamboo canes invading the "jungle" (my backgarden), pity you live so far away
A very nice, very interesting project.

Boulevard ;
No backbudding but plenty of new growth on younger stems. They get so dense they can get die back inside the foliage clouds. Cascading the branches so that the clouds merge gives the impression of short branches. They're thirsty trees. The growth pattern can be useful to give the impression of most mature coniferous trees, pine, Juniper cypress etc.
