Rosa 'Ralph Moore'
Miniature rose in a Yang Lan style Yi Xing pot. This is its first season, bought it a month ago. If/when it gets some age to it maybe it will graduate to bonsai. Right now its Kusamono or some sticks in a pot with the odd flower.
I love blooming plants, and roses are always a favorite.
The cultivar is 'Raph Moore' miniature rose, and it is a nice deep rose red. Unfortunately flash photography highlights the purple, in person it is a deep red. And, it is fragrant. I refuse to buy a rose that has no rose fragrance. Insert Shakespeare quote here.
enjoy

"a rose by any other name..."
...is still very nice !
that might be fun to play with to see how small you could reduce it
(like those geraniums i been working with)
cool pot too

still working on getting it through its first year, develop roots in bonsai media, etc. The great thing about most miniature roses is that they are sold as cuttings, on their own roots. This means no ugly graft unions. Most nursery hybrid tea roses are grafted. Though I did find a mail order source for 'own roots' hybrid teas. What they shipped is rather small.
ONce it develops a 'nebari' I'll raise it a little higher, and then really work on ramification
