Korean Hornbeam repot question

I am wondering how older Korean Hornbeam would react to a later than usual repotting. I know that most maples do fine after leaf/bud burst, but do not know if this is risky for KH. Pot is not going to be ready by the normal bud swelling...

From my limited experience, it is fatal. If you missed the right potting time, better wait until next year.
