Another Exotic from Brazil...

This is another native plant of the northeast littoral band of Brazil!
It is a Mirteacea, very similar the Pitanga.
Here it is called: Arrebenta Boi.
It is of authorship of our friend Sergivaldo Costa.

Lovely tree. Very nice in flower and with fruit.

The pot is a bit of a distraction. I'd prefer a plain glaze.

Nice one..Mirteacea or Arrebenta Boi?? What exactly is the species? Does it bear fruit? Deciduous? Nice form, flowers.. Like this one alot..

I think the tree is great. I am not so sure about the pot. It is not wide enough and too ornamental for my taste.

I agree how much to the pot, it competes with the plant.
Flytuc, in the Brazil we have some plants of these varieties Mircearea and Eugênias here.
Some not classified.
I go to search the scientific classification of it!
Arrebenta Boi, is the popular name!
