Mosses.
I have seen this before and I think this adds to the variety in our hobby.
The first picture, viewing the tree a little farther, is very convincing of betraying trees on a little hill/rocky outcrop.
Can mosses and other plants be used in between the base to strengthen the perception of a hilly top/rocky outcrop?

Wow that is really awesome!, a little landscape garden!
You should try using Mountain minnow fish, they are also called white clouds. Or what about Guppies, to get the scale right. Miquito fish also stay small. Both White clouds and Misquito fish can handle cold winters. (well cold for us is about 8 degrees)
It is very nice indeed, well done.
