Prepping for Junipers first bonsai pot
I have a juniper that I've been training in the nursery container I bought it in. It's ready for a cascade pot and I'm hoping to make the move early next year.
Is there anything I should do now to help the process? One thought that occurred to me is to treat it like yamadori and cut back half of the roots in the pot and leave it there to recover, just like you would with a tree in the ground.
Has anybody ever treated a tree this way? What do you think?
