Re: Modern display
Hi
The machines are really interesting, and made very nice...did you build them?...if they are nice with a healthy tree...I dont know?...maybe a battered dead tree would be a better option.
Kind regards Yvonne

Reminiscent of Star Wars! Love it! Your figurines are very realistic.

Re: Modern display
Iron display and the tree have been done separately. It's commutable. Next more rusty pots and other things are going to complete all that with other trees more "twisty".
Thanks Lo and see you soon.

LAW,
Because I am not familiar with your very unique display concept?...
IMHO I only comment on and acknowledge what I understand and have experienced!
Your tree in both displays are stunning and very interestingly designed ...
I have always been attracted to the fallen tree styles, slanted, cascade and semi cascade.
maybe because of my own personal survival experiences in growing up and in life generally.
Enormous struggles, hardships and extreme difficulties have been a familiar thing to me.
Your clinging maple, growing on and in a rock!, suspended, has a powerful story to tell...
as does your display table, which has a physically restraining almost imprisoning feeling to me!
Your second display further expanse my awareness of the "against all odds" concept with the suspended juniper?...
is it planted in a moss ball? I recall hanging gardens, in a historical book and also a recent popular animated move.
The smaller display stand also has a very strong feeling of support despite it's size, braced and structural.
I'm sad to admit I don't understand the rest, figures or comprehend your writings...
if you could Please expand just a little? it would go a long way to clearly see things your special way!...

Re: Modern display
I think art don't have to be explained. Just felt.
Bonsaï is performing and art to, so we can mix both of them. Just a question of time.
Should read this to understand my philosophy :

Re: Modern display
Many if not most of the "greats" of the world of art (artist, musicians etc.) were rebels in their time. They were shunned and often worse. But today we consider them to be great. It is often difficult for us to change the lens through which we see the world around us AND even more difficult to change what we do and create.
Thank you Law for nudging us across our own self-imposed barrier.
