Power tools
I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a dremel-esque power tool they use for carving. I'm in the market for one and I'd like to get some opinions first.

a machine with suspended motor is better for carving, contactor and drive with your foot, your two hands are available.

Re: Power tools
I bought the Dremel 4000 a few months ago, it is good for light carving and detailed work. If you want a more beasty type thing I'd go for a Makita Die Grinder. Kaizenbonsai over here do some good bits/burrs for it, also in America you have Sabuur which do some good bits.

Re: Power tools
i would stay away from any from any dremel and just spend money on a foredom a little pricey but worth it. ive went threw countless dremels and finally spent the money on a foredom. couldn't be happier and my carving quality has gotten better

Re: Power tools
Sadly Dremel has become not much more then a throw away tool. No power and very little customer support. Spend a little more and get the Foredom and never look back.
