New Jiitas

I had an old Pine door panel that i thought that one day may be useful.
I decided to try and make some Jiitas from it to display my trees and accents .
The first one was designed to use with a Loniscera i have.
The finish i chose was to match the trunk colour so i used lime wax to stain the pine.







The second one was stained a more traditional Rosewood colour.
This one could be used for a Shohin tree or an accent plant.

On your lighter first pictured slab, you may want to consider staining the outer edge. I think it could give it a more elegant look, while giving it a more anchored look, as well. the rosewood stained one, looks very nice as well. thanks for sharing.

I did blowtorch the edges a little to get a darker tint but it does not show well in the photo.

These look very nice. I like the organic look of the holes. I agree with Dick about darkening the edge on the light colored one. Good use of an old door I would say.
