I'm located in paranaque, I have 3pcs of the same species, all in Sumo shohin sizes... I got em from Davao - had to pay for excess baggage when I brought em from davao - it's worth it though! Goodluck with your materials, I used to have around 15 of these, but gave and sold the others...

your right bro...its worth it. I collected the materials during my 2 time visit in Gensan last November. Actually when i had the chance to see these materials in the wild in Saranggani...I was really amazed and stop looking for other materials available nearby. I do have around 20 mame more.
Post yours too so mine are not alone here . Thanks in advance.

You're lucky you got yours from the wild, mine came from a vendor, so my choice was quite limited... sure thing, let me just try to get a decent photo of my materials, coz I suck in photography... unlike you, great photos by the way, I wish I had an ounce of your skill but I'm too lazy to try and learn photography...

I assume you got your materials at Toril, Davao area, most Gensan hunters drop their collections there.
Im just beginning to learn photography because of my materials. To give justice to their natural beauty.
Will wait for your post.

Guys, please be careful about collecting these -- and you probably need permission in any event. The species is threatened in the Philippines. http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/33339/0
All that said, those are nice bonsai.

Jim,
The vitex parviflora or Molave is no longer a threatened species in the Philippines as this is already a common planting material for urban tree landscaping plus the fact that this one can be propagated thru asexual propagation. You might be referring to the threat of extinction of those in the natural molave forest due to timber use specifically as railroad timbers. The one we posted here are the local non-timber specie in the southern part of the Philippines which they call "Tugas Saranggani".. place of boxing champ Manny Pacquiao.
