I like it Andrei. Great job!!!
What do you think the final pot will be? And just out of curiosity, what's the top dressing?
Have a great weekend!!!

I like what you have done with this.
By the way, just in case you have some mental image you do not need.. Leatherback comes from some work I did on a looooong time ago for earthwatch. I was a fieldassistent for some 4 months when I lived in Costa Rica: http://www.earthwatch.org/exped/paladino.html

Thanks for the compliment Vietnat
.....you're a very good person Leatherback, and I look at you with new eyes.
Love and light.
Thanks Sam. I think its still far off form his final pot.....I think all my trees are far off. Like Dorothy said the other day, I aslo used to plant my trees in expenisve pots very early. and after the first storm or Chicken jumping on the Bonsai tables, or the bloody Cape Mongoose that Meditate weekely in die Bonsai Temple , I realized that the cheaper the pot the better. My One and only designer pot lives on a shelve now.
I havnt thought about the new pot for this tree, what do you suggest?

HI Andre,
Why a pot? I would consider a slab for this one.. A nice hilltop-tree?

Horrible tree Andre. I just cannot stand it. Looking at it over the internet.
(And realizing it will never sit in my garden )
Will it be at Bonsai Africa this year?

Impressive tree Andre. I love a Pierneef style and this is very well done. Not easy to achieve.
Yeah the damn bureaucrats that gave Acacia to Aussie pees me off big time. Its a disgrace I think. To me its a very personal thing. I love and adore Acacias. I sometimes wonder if they even know what an Acacia looks like. The word Acacia means a tree with a thorn. No Aussie Acacias has thorns. African Acacias sets the standard of what a thorn tree should be like, and they change the name to something that is basically non descriptive.
I'm not knocking any other country's Acacias. I'm saying the word Acacia IS Africa and Africa IS Acacia. When you hear the word Acacia you think of Africa.... !!!
