Re: New Sketch
First of all thank you for the nice feedback, I really appreciate it.
I have not sold any, but my friends are insisting that I do. I am going to make some lithographs and with a frame they are going to go for $90.00 plus shipping. Let me know what you think.
I use a ball point pen, the cheap Pilot pens that all offices use. One is fine, the other one is medium, and a Pilot black marker. I hope I have answered all your questions, and once again thank you for your nice comments.

well how about that !!! that is real artistry with those means... many selfproclaimed artists with chique and 'proper' tools dont come close to what you produce(d) there. That is what i call being an artist. Great, and please continue

Very nice drawing Hiram!
Just a design suggestion if you won't mind. The top will achieve a more balanced look if the foliage pad on the right side will be reduced almost near to the trunk.
regards,
jun

Re: New Sketch
Also, the ink used in Bic pens is not very archival and will begin to turn brown in a year,
and will begin to fade.
I am an artist as well and have found this out.
I cannot suggest a different pen however, for I moved on to Sumi-e Inks
and watercolor.
Nice drawing, keep up the good work !!!

^ I concur. I would to see what else you have sketched especially if you have trees you based them on or a species in mind for the sketch.

Re: New Sketch
I have to agree with Ms. Muse here. I've had pieces I did less than 10 years ago that have all but disappeared. There are lots of 'archival" pens available that are relatively inexpensive. Here's one I like...

The paper you use can be equally important.
And if you really want something to last, do it in pencil.
Graphite will outlast ink by centuries.
