Re: Malus_Macieira
Thanks. Some branch cutting must be made, specially the branch that you see in the 3rd photo. Let's enjoy some fall colors first and wait to see it without leaves for a better judgement.

Your tree is beautiful. Could you give us some perspective on the size of the tree? Also, I'm trying to decide if I perhaps like the movement better with the tree tilted to the right...not that you were soliciting any opinions. Thank you for sharing these photos.

Hi all,
This year, this Malus was full of flowers and for some reason, i don't have any fruit.
Why this happens?

It could be rain or cold during the flowering keeping the insects away, and it could be the repotting, leaving the tree weak...or the tree could just be weak by it self....was the roots nice when repotting, or?
Many flowers can weaken a tree.
Kind regards Yvonne

I think all went well.
After the flowering i could see that many "future apples" were starting to swell, but due to some reason they fall of the tree.

Re: Malus_Macieira
Too much fertilizer, especially nitrogen, while the fruit are setting can cause them to drop, and certain apples are more prone to this than others. Try fertilizing heavily in the late summer and fall, and then lightly in spring until the fruit are about 1 month old.

Thank you Stan.
Since this year's apple production is lost, i'll try it next year.
In bonsai, experience is very important.
