Bucida spinosa
This is a Bucida spinosa that I picked up at Jupiter Bonsai in April 2012 for under $20.00. It has come a long way in just six months with a little TLC, pruning and a bit of wire. It is still in the black nursery pot and I will probably leave it in there for at least another year. I believe that it will be an excellent tree in a few years and in the right bonsai pot. Goes to show that starting with good material leads to quick results. Enjoy

Looking great! Lots of growth in six months and looking very vigorous. I wish I could get pre-bonsai material like this around here, and especially for under $20.

A little one on one care, daily watering and plenty of osmocote goes a long way. Thanks
