Looking for opinions on growing containers
I am new to the bonsai world and in new less than 3 years experience. I was thinking about geting some new growing pots for my trees.
I have zero trees ready to be put in bonsai pots but have a bunch that are i the growing stages.
Right now majority of my trees are in wooden boxes I made from scrap wood. They are made slightly larger then the root ball the tree has. The issues I have with these are they become very heavy( adding the tree, soil and wood). I recently started looking into anderson flats, but I see they only come in 15" or 17" diameters. This seems to be very large for some of the smaller trees I have and feat they will be wet all the time.
What are some suggestions for grow pots that others are using or is my wood boxes the best way to go. By the way I am using 5/4 deck boards.
Thanks

I use either bussing tub (from Restaurant supply stores at $7.00 each) for extra large trees and dish pans (from Walmart at $1.98 each) for the medium to large sized trees.

Remiss, Anderson flats are very good but any container with good aeration will serve the purpose If size is the only concern, then placing dividers in the flats can increase the number of trees per given space. Two or more trees per flat.
