Planara aquatica - water elm
I dug this tree from the swamp on my farm back in Tallahassee in 2001. It went into a bonsai pot in 2002. It is pretty much "as is" from when I dug it; a slight repositioning of some of the very few branches is all I've done. It stands 19 inches tall. The base (hard to see in these photos) spreads nicely to more than an inch. There probably are a dozen potential "fronts."
