Re: My Satsuki Azalee
Nice! I think the second (red flowers) is a Kurume, not a satsuki.

Can you please tell the variety of the left one in the first picture? I like the flowers with the white throat and pink margin to the petals.
Lovely trees.
Thanks
Alan

Something got lost in that spelling. I can't figure out the first part, but the last word should be "homare".
Stupid me, I thought it looked like 'Juko', it's 'Juko no homare' - a sport of 'Juko'.

I don't doubt you. But things get changed when it goes from kanji to hiragana to romaji - and I've seen worse.
"Iyu" isn't a word that would be used in a satsuki name, and "homate" isn't a word at all. Just trying to get you on the right track. Of course you can call it what's on the tag if you'd like.

Thanks for the close up of the flowers Jupp, very pretty indeed.
And thank you Russel for clearing up the variety name. I am going to have a hunt around.
Juko is in In Robert Callaham's book, nut the flowers look more variable than the variety Jupp has. There is also one called Polo that looks similar.
Thanks again gents.
