Collecting in Tennessee questions?
My family and I are heading to Tennesee for the holiday weekend and my Father n Law said I can collect all I want they own a ridge about 100 acres near Ky. Tn. Border. Any suggestions of what I may keep an eye out for besides timber rattlers and bear? There are cedars all over the place but unsure what else is common there

Hornbeam, miscellaneous short leaf pines, honeysuckle, black Locust, hackberry, maybe hemlock but it's pretty rare, miscellaneous elm, and red maple

They like to drop on you from up in the trees. When you get back from your trip run fingers through your scalp well and take a shower for a good visual inspection. I've found those suckers in REALLY unlikely places before. Good luck!

Looks like a nice find! Makes me wonder if it's already too late down here in my neck of the woods...might have to go out walkin'.

I wouldn't lift an azalea right especially in this heat.
