Re: April 23rd "It is SPRING" in Rochester, NY
I brought mine in last night, and I mean EVERYTHING, as I was expecting too much rain overnight for my already saturated Maples. little did I know that If I hadn't done so I would have awoken to 4 1/2 inches of heavy wet snow all over them.
"YUK" is a nice way of putting what happened to all of us in western NY last night

Lots of people lost power and many school closings and the traffic this morning...ahhh horryfic...
I only have sticks in pots and 3 nice little "I am going to be a Bonsai some day trees" from Bill V. workshop. I put them in the garage last night before all the "event" took place...YUK x 100...

You had to know we'd pay for the mild, (relatively) snow free winter we just enjoyed. I think we only had about 1 (maybe 2 if you stretch it) inches of the "slop" and the temperature stayed just above freezing. I'm more worried about the potential for another significant freeze later in the week/weekend with the next blast of cold air.

WOW! We really got lucky here in north Buffalo. We have just gotten rain all day long. Glad you got all your trees in Jay, and hope everything else is going well.

I was shocked, Neil.
I had never expected to wake up to that much snow on the ground this morning, Every tree was weighted to present a weeping version of its normal silhouette. I had "weeping" sugar maples "weeping" pin cherries, It was really quite surreal. I lost a few landscape spruce and lower limbs from a huge Box elder. Its actually still snowing outside as I write this.

This morning our temps ranged from 37 to 45 depending on the proximity to water. Crazy!
