Field maple leaves turning yellow!!
my field maple leaves have started turning yellow around edges!!not all the leaves are like it but most are??!Some of the leaves have dried up and fallen from the tree!! anyone have an idea??please help!

That looks a bit like chemical damage of some sort.

I'm sorry I didn't see this before- the website has stopped notifying me of new posts. Yes, this is a maple leaf borer. Collect dead leaves and destroy them. Look around for landscape trees with this problem and rake up those leaves, too, and burn them. Then the larvae won't grow into adults, and you'll reduce the problem. The other alternative is to find out from local Cooperative Extension when the egg-laying season is, and spray your maples with a protectant.
