Helo Sonny.
As you know, on a daiza there is normally no water used in the pool of the stone.
How about a dark colored larger oval suiban with sand?

These are obviously fossilized shells imbedded in the material that eventually turned into stone. Nice way how they got exposed though.

Hello
Drilling a hole?
What do you mean by natural stone?
Do you mean to say that those patterns are not fossils?
This is possible i think.
But when there are fossils in the stone it is a sedimentary stone,
sedimentary stones can change and become quit hard though.
When tectonic activity moves those sedimentary layers back,
deep down in the earth the enormous pressure crystallizes the stone, like chalk sedimentary becomes marble.

Hi Sonny
I find many stones with this shape...and I do not take them home, as the shape is not optimal for suiseki....please send me a photo from abowe ( look dawn at the stone), and I will draw what I find is important.
Kind regards Yvonne

Re: philippine viewing stones/suiseki
Hi Sonny
Yes, this was the angle I wanted...
This stone is nice, as the two lines follow each other nicely....i would take this stone home also.
I looked to me like the front was rounded, and the backside was staight, wich is not nice.
The straight line in the front makes the stone come together.
Kind regards Yvonne...thanks for sharing
